It has come to our attention that the Downing Centre Local Criminal Court, situated in Sydney’s bustling CBD, currently lacks Parent Rooms.
The Downing Centre serves as the primary court complex in Sydney, housing local courts, state government courts, and the District Court of New South Wales.
Given that this property is owned by the NSW Government, it is crucial to ensure access to a safe environment, including a Parents Room. This is essential not only for individuals required to attend court proceedings but also for those who work on-site.
Providing facilities that accommodate parents would be highly beneficial, allowing them to feed their child, pump breast milk, or change diapers. Additionally, it is important to note that visitors or employees could also be parents.
